Humans & Patterns

“Just as patterns create repeated structures, humans too duplicate patterns of behavior. I found this comparison a very interesting concept to reflect on my paintings.”

– Amaia Marzabal

Humans and Patterns is a series of portraits speaking about the process of personal self-discovery. These patterns or abstractions will be used to metaphorically represent inherited behavioral and personality traits. Also Amaia Marzabal wants to represent here what we as humans repeat through the course of our development from childhood into adulthood. And how In the process of finding and defining yourself, humans find that some of these patterns can be changed and the rules can be broken to draw the lines of your own life-pattern.
